Indianapolis Foreclosures and Abandoned Houses
Recently, there have been newspaper articles and TV news stories regarding Indianapolis' foreclosures and abandoned properties, especially HUD owned properties.
The stories have been targeting ZIP codes 46201, 46203 and 46218. While these areas have their problems, (I live in the 46201 area), I know the problem is not limited to these areas. The problem also extends to bank-owned properties (REO's) as well.
Some groups are trying to push the idea that Indianapolis should purchase and renovate these homes to help improve and revitalize these areas.
